Bash Raises Funds For Children With AIDS
Unlike most headliners, Thelma Houston mingled during cocktail hour with
singer/songstress, Fawn, whose hair was a veritable braid parade (7 hours
in the making). Not nearly so upbraided was mistress of ceremonies Brenda
Epperson (Young and The Restless). -Rocky Mountain News /Joanne Davidson

Friends Of Oneday Taking Off
Produced by up and coming youngsters, BT (aka Brian Transeau)
and singer/songwriter Fawn, the song “Oneday” has already
begun to raise much needed funds for the Oneday Foundation. With support
from Joan Rivers who will be doing the PSA’s this spring, “Oneday”
is sure to bring awareness and money to families affected by HIV/AIDS.
Fawn was contacted by the Oneday Foundation to write a song for them,
after founder Rick Watson saw her in Billboard magazine. Fawn explains,
“ when Rick contacted me, it was perfect timing, because I had always
wanted my first music release to be a ‘giving back’ song.
I’ve been given so much in my life, I feel it is important and vital
to give back what you’ve been blessed with.” And giving back,
she is. With 100% of proceeds going to the cause and no paid staff for
the Oneday foundation. -Rocky Mountain News/Joanne Davidson

Future
Brightens For Oneday
Oneday is one step closer to establishing a residential care
center for children with AIDS, thanks to an anonymous benefactor who is
co-signing a loan that will enable the Denver charity to pay cash for
a building where Oneday’s care and counseling programs will be based.
That bit of good news was revealed at a poolside breakfast that Dick and
Judy Tucker hosted for Friends For Oneday. Judy Tucker is chairwoman of
the Oneday board; Friends For Oneday is headed by Junior League sustainer
Judith Green.
On the immediate horizon, Friends For Oneday is raising money through
sales of the ‘Oneday” song produced by BT and performed and
written by Fawn who grew up in Denver and was a member of the Colorado
Children’s Chorale before moving to Los Angeles to pursue her music
career.

Future
Brightens For Oneday
“Oneday” is a nonprofit organization, which renders
both physical and financial assistance to children with AIDS. How appropriate
that young teen-agers, BT and Fawn would answer their plea for help. It
is a catastrophe when a child has a life-threatening illness and is hospitalized.
When this illness is AIDS, they struggle with disgraces as well.
BT and Fawn have transformed simple prose into a powerful and striking
piece of musical and lyrical artistry. They have given a voice to those
who have been devastated and forced to be silent due to ignorance and
prejudice. The song is a message of love and a plea for humanity from
the hearts of all those who have been touched by AIDS. Fawn sings this
song from her heart and BT’s arrangement touches the soul.

Oneday Shows That’s What Friends Are For
Take three teenagers from Berklee College Of Music, mix in undeniable
talent, a strong friendship and notable cause and you’ll have the
recipe for success. That’s what Oneday founder, Rick Watson thought
after contacting songwriter, Fawn about writing and producing a song for
his Oneday Organization for children and families affected by AIDS.
According to Watson, Fawn told him that although she and her two friends,
Vincent Covello and BT (Brian Transeau) had just moved to Los Angeles,
they would love to help Oneday. A former Denverite, Fawn has been known
over the years for her philanthropic work, beginning with her publicized
involvement and Award For Bravery when rescuing classmates from a burning
building at the ripe old age of 11. Is it any wonder that she has signed
on to help the plights of children everywhere that are affected by AIDS?

Oneday
Singer Helps Robert Foundation
The Robert Foundation has recently been established in an effort to defeat
AIDS in Houston. Polo Latimer commented in a recent interview that he
had been “turned down by several record companies” when asked
to donate their songs and wave licensing fees in order for him to make
an AIDS awareness video. After weeks of phone calls, Latimer was growing
weak and discouraged. “I prayed for a miracle,” he said, “and
it came.” Latimer reached some one at Warner Chapell, who told him
about a recording artist named Fawn and her song “Oneday.”
Latimer said, “Not only was Fawn the only person willing to help,
but she was the only artist willing to give me the use of her song and
all of its proceeds for free. She is an angel and I will always be indebt
to her.”
Latimer, like many who suffer from AIDS, can’t afford the medication
needed to stay alive. In a desperate effort, he came up with the idea
to document his life and sell the video for awareness, funding and assistence.

Oneday Recording
“Profound and life changing” is how Rick Watson, founder of
Oneday an organization for children with AIDS described his trip to Rusk
Recording studios in Los Angeles.
Watson recently flew to California to record the song, “Oneday”
with music artist BT and Fawn. “I couldn’t believe what a
beautiful, heartfelt song Fawn had written. It was exactly what I had
been hoping for” Watson explained. “I was impressed with the
rapport between Fawn and producer BT. Together they created magic in the
recording studio.” Watson plans to market and sell the song to the
public, as well as use it as a promotional tool for the Oneday Foundation.
Fawn, along with Santa Claus, showed up Christmas morning at the house
of Jonathan Swain in Denver, Colorado to disperse gifts from the Oneday
Foundation and a check for the family who recently were unable to make
their bills due to the high cost of medical bills for their son who contracted
AIDS from a blood transfusion.

Oneday
To Benefit 9/11 Families
Although “Oneday” is well known for raising funds for children
and families with HIV/AIDS, it has recently been re-released for 9/11
victims, with packaging containing no artistic credits whatsoever. A spokesperson
for the “Oneday 9/11” release explained, “The recording
artist of ‘Oneday 9/11’ wishes to remain nameless out of respect
for the families and the tragic events which occurred on 9/11.”
He continued to explain that “All packaging and mastering costs
were donated by music industry people and we all feel it is important
to put the focus on helping the families, not on taking credit for doing
a good deed.” Suggested donation price is $25.00. 100% of proceeds
go directly to families in need of assistance. For further information
call 1-800-654-5977.

Old
Song, New Cause
“Oneday,” a song which has raised over five million dollars
for people with HIV/AIDS is now raising money for a new cause--families
affected by 9/11. A spokesperson said that the recording artist and those
involved in donating their time and talents in re-packaging the song wish
to “remain nameless.”
Even though the song was released a few years ago to help AIDS victims,
its message is eerily appropriate after the events of 9/11. One person
named Mikka Fitt commented, “The song is a plea for humanity and
very fitting to what’s happening in the world today.” The
Oneday 9/11 CD is $25.00 suggested donation. All proceeds go directly
to 9/11 families. To make a donation or order the CD,
call 1-800-654-5977.
